Let’s start with Airbnb. The accommodation rental company has opted for its second line of business by offering its end customer, usually a traveller, a series of curated experiences – cultural tours or culinary workshops, among others – that accompany the stay itself.
For this purpose, Brian Chesky’s company uses private individuals as experience providers to offer these activities, in the same way that, for accommodation, it uses hosters who supply their homes.
